12:10am: Milos Raonic is being stretched to the limit by Dennis Novak. First set heads to a tiebreaker now.

12am: Top seed Roger Federer is through to the next round with a comfortable 6-3, 7-5, 6-2 win over Jan-Lennard Stuff.

11:50pm: Karolinba Pliskova stages a fine comeback  to defeat Mihaela Buzarnescu 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-1.

11:14pm: Plíšková survives. She wins the second-set tiebreak 7-3. It's one set all.

11:03pm: Karolína Plíšková is serving to stay in the match a second time, at 5-6 this time, against Mihaela Buzărnescu.

10:56pm: John Isner, the ninth seed, is leading 6-3, 6-3 against Radu Albot.

10:55pm: Medvedev breaks Mannarino in the first game of the fifth set. Can the 22-year-old Russian complete a remarkable comeback after losing the first two sets?

10:53pm: Plíšková serves at 4-5 to stay in the match.

10:49pm: Plíšková makes it four-all in the second set against Buzărnescu.

10:46pm: On Court 3, Daniil Medvedev has taken 22nd seed Adrian Mannarino to a fifth set.

10:45pm: Roger Federer ambles through the first set 6-3 against Jan-Lennard Struff.

10:34pm: Eight of the top 10 seeds in the women's draw are already out, and the third round is not even over.

Right now, Mihaela Buzărnescu is serving at 6-3, 3-1 against seventh seed Karolína Plíšková. Top seed and French Open winner Simona Halep plays her third-round match tomorrow.

It's mildly better in the men's draw. Only five of the top 10 seeds are out, as of now.

10:32pm: Seeds are dropping like flies this Wimbledon.

Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela and Federico Delbonis knock the top seeds Oliver Marach and Mate Pavić out with a 4-6, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 win in their opening-round match.

Second seeds Łukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo lost earlier in the day.

9:58pm: SERENA WILLIAMS WINS!!

The seven-time singles champion beats Kristina Mladenovic 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) to enter the fourth round.

Next up on Centre Court is the eight-time champion himself. Roger Federer is playing Jan-Lennard Struff. The two met at the Australian Open, too, in the round of 64. No prizes for guessing how that ended.

9:45pm: Stefanos Tsitsipas, the 19-year-old 31st seed, wins his third-round match against Thomas Fabbiano 6-2, 6-1, 6-4.

The Greek sensation is into the round of 16 at a Grand Slam for the first time.

9:35pm: VENUS WILLIAMS LOSES IN THE THIRD ROUND!!

Kiki Bertens knocks the five-time singles champion and last year's runner-up out of Wimbledon 2018 with a 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 8-6 victory.

Venus Williams had staged fightbacks from a set down in his first two matches, but she wasn't able to pull it off today, though she came close.

The bloodbath among the seeds continues. Of the top 10, only Simona Halep and Karolína Plíšková still remain in the tournament. And the final is still a long way away.

9:34pm: Marcelo Arévalo and Hans Podlipnik-Castillo win a marathon opening-round match against Jay Clarke and Cameron Norrie, coming through 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 5-7, 6-4, 22-20 in five hours and two minutes.

9:24pm: Venus Williams is serving at 6-7 in the third set against Kiki Bertens. Remember: There's no tiebreak in the final set at Grand Slams.

9:23pm: Marcin Matkowski and Jonathan Erlich beat second seeds Łukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo (2) 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (10-8) to go to the round of 16.

9:07pm: Mladenovic breaks Serena Williams to take the second set back on serve at 1-2.

On the No.1 Court, Venus Williams is serving to stay in the match at 4-5 in the third set.

Meanwhile, this is interesting. The Jay Clarke-Cameron Norrie vs Marcelo Arévalo-Hans Podlipnik-Castillo doubles match, held over from last night, stands at 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-5, 4-6, 18-18 after nearly 4 hours and 45 minutes.

But it's far from the record. That honour goes to the 2007 Wimbledon match where Marcelo Melo and André Sá beat Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyett 5–7, 7–6(7–4), 4–6, 7–6(9–7), 28–26 – a total of 102 games. Today's match stands at 81.

In terms of time spent on court, the longest match was when Tomáš Berdych and Lukáš Rosol defeated Stanislas Wawrinka and Marco Chiudinelli in 7 hours, 2 minutes [6–4, 5–7, 6–4, 6–7(3–7), 24–22] in a 2013 Davis Cup tie.

9:06pm: Stefanos Tsitsipas lead 6-2, 6-1 against Thomas Fabbiano.

The Greek former junior world No.1 is seeded for a Slam for the first time. He made it to the second round at Roland Garros, but he looks primed for at least the fourth here.

8:56pm: Serena Williams wins the first set 7-5 against Kristina Mladenovic.

Meanwhile, elder sister Venus is tied 3-3 in the deciding set against Kiki Bertens.

8:47pm: Nineteen-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas wins the first set 6-2 against Thomas Fabbiano.

8:29pm: Venus Williams wins the second-set tiebreak 7-5 to make it one set all against Kiki Bertens.

8:26pm: Serena Williams is down a break at 2-3 in the first set against Kristina Mladenovic.

MATCH REPORT: Zverev wins battle of Wimbledon's rising stars

8:14pm: Venus Williams stays alive!! She breaks Bertens, who was serving for the match, to make it 5-5 in the second set.

8:10pm: Serena Williams begins her match against Kristina Mladenovic on Centre Court.

And Bertens breaks Venus Williams again!! She'll serve for the match at 5-4 in the second.

8:07pm: Venus Williams breaks Kiki Bertens to level the second set at four-all.

7:52pm: Donna Vekić is into the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 win over Yanina Wickmayer.

7:50pm: Venus Williams is now down a break at 1-2 in the second set against Bertens.

7:48pm: Gaël Monfils beats eleventh seed Sam Querrey 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 to make it to the fourth round of Wimbledon.

7:36pm: Venus Williams goes down a set to Kiki Bertens. She did the same in the first and second rounds before winning in three sets.

No one will ever write off the seven-time Grand Slam champion. But three three-set matches in a row are sure to take a toll on the 38- year-old.

Meanwhile, Vekić is up a break at 2-1 in the second set against Wickmayer. The 22-year-old has never progressed beyond the third round of a Grand Slam before. She sure looks set to do so today.

7:33pm: Kiki Bertens, the 20th seed, is serving for the first set at 5-2 against Venus Williams.

We've already had one American in the top 10 lose today. Will Venus become the second?

7:30pm: Donna Vekić wins the first set 7-2 in a tiebreaker against Yanina Wickmayer.

On the No.1 Court, Venus Williams is in trouble. The five-time singles champion is down 1-5 in the first set.

Meanwhile, Gaël Monfils leads 11th seed Sam Querrey two sets to one on Centre Court.

6:40pm: Fourth seed Alexander Zverev is through to the fourth round.

The 21-year-old German suffered a shock last night as he lost the second and third sets. Today, he looked to be back at his best, prevailing 6-4, 5-7, 6-7 (0-7), 6-1, 6-2 over Taylor Fritz.

Venus Williams is up next on the No.1 Court. She'll face Kiki Bertens.

6:35pm: Alexander Zverev is serving for the match at 5-2 in the fifth set against Taylor Fritz.

6:25pm: Eighth seed Kevin Anderson is through to the fourth round with a 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 win over Philipp Kohlschreiber.

6:22pm: And Madison Keys is out of Wimbledon.

Another casualty among the seeds. The US Open runner-up loses her third-round match 5-7, 7-5, 4-6 to the unheralded Evgeniya Rodina, who matches her best performance at a Grand Slam from exactly 10 years ago.

That leaves only top seed Simona Halep, No.7 Karolína Plíšková and Venus Williams, seeded ninth, among the top 10 in the women's draw.

6:17pm: And we have one more break of serve. Rodina leads 5-4 and will serve for the match!!

6:13pm: And Keys levels it at 4-4 with Rodina with another break!!

6:09pm: Rodina breaks again to go up 4-3!

6:06pm: Keys breaks back to make it 3-3 against Rodina in the deciding set.

6:05pm: Ekaterina Makarova comes from a set down to beat Lucie Šafářová 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

6:00pm: Alexander Zverev wins the fourth set 6-1 against Taylor Fritz in their match held over from last night. It's two sets all.

5:55pm: Madison Keys has to dig herself out of another hole as she goes down a break to Evgeniya Rodina in the third set.

5:36pm: Keys wins the second set 7-5!! Down 0-4 in the second set after losing the first, the 10th seed seemed headed for the exits very soon.

On Court 12, it's one set all between Lucie Šafářová and Ekaterina Makarova.

And Kevin Anderson is up 6-3, 7-5 against Philipp Kohlschreiber on the No.2 Court.

5:20pm: A quick hold to love puts Madison Keys 5-4 up.

5:18pm: Keys breaks Rodina's serve again!! It's 4-4 in the second.

5:12pm: Keys wins one break back. But she's still down 2-4 in the second set.

4:59pm Rodina is up 7-5, 4-0. She's won eight games on the trot.

4:55pm Evgeniya Rodina surges to a 3-0 lead in the second set against Madison Keys, the US Open runner-up and French Open semifinalist. Will we see ANOTHER top 10 seed exit Wimbledon today?

4:50pm: On Court 12, Lucie Šafářová wins the first set 6-4 against Ekaterina Makarova.

And eighth seed Kevin Anderson wins his opener 6-3 against Philipp Kohlschreiber on the No.2 Court.

4:44pm: From 3-5 down in the first set, Evgeniya Rodina turns the match on its head. She rattles off four straight games to win the opener against 10th seed Madison Keys.

4:38pm: Evgeniya Rodina holds serve and then breaks Madison Keys. The Russian, who matched her best performance at a Grand Slam by reaching the third round, is serving for the first set.

4:34pm: Rodina breaks Keys and is serving at 4-5 to stay in the first set.

4:30pm: Madison Keys, the 10th seed, is racing through her first set against Evgeniya Rodina. The American is serving at 5-3.

On the No.2 Court, US Open runner-up Kevin Anderson is up 3-1 against Philipp Kohlschreiber.

4:05pm: It's a fairly depleted field here at SW 19, and we're only into the fifth day of the tournament.

Six of the top 10 seeds in the women's draw are out, including defending champion Garbine Muguruza, while four of the top 10 seeds among the men are out, too – and that could very soon be five as Alexander Zverev resumes his match against Taylor Fritz. The German is two sets to one down.
