Maldives produced a spirited display to defeat defending champion India 2-1 and win the SAFF Championship after 10 years. ( Report )

Romelu Lukaku was on target twice as Belgium cruised to a 3-0 win over Iceland in the Nations League opener on Tuesday. ( Report )

Cristiano Ronaldo opened his Juventus account with two second-half goals in the Serie A champion's 2-1 victory over Sassuolo, but substitute Douglas Costa's red card for spitting cast a shadow over the match. ( Report )

India ended its Davis Cup World Group Play-off tie against Serbia without a single win, losing 0-4. However India can still have a shot at the qualification for the Davis Cup finals in five months from now as per new rules. ( Report )

Defending  Davis Cup  champion  France  took an unassailable 3-0 semifinal lead over  Spain and will meet Croatia in the final in late November. ( Report )

Croatia will meet France in the Davis Cup final after defeating the United States 3-2 as Borna Coric triumphed in the decisive match in Zadar. ( Report )

Purav Raja and Rameez Junaid defeated the pair of Timur Khabibulin and Vladyslav Manafov 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-7 to clinch the doubles title in the $75,000 ATP Challenger tennis tournament in Turkey. ( Report )
