Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has revealed his plans of returning to the managerial role in January. In an interview with the German newspaper Bild , Wenger said that he has received several offers from all over the world.

The 68-year-old left Arsenal at the end of last season to take some time out of the game after a string of poor performances. The resignation came one year prior to the expiration of his contract. During his 22-year charge of the club, he won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, including the Double in 1998 and 2002.

“I believe I will start again on January 1. I don’t know where yet. I feel rested and am ready to work again,” the Frenchman told Bild . Wenger also mentioned that he is keeping his options open and that he will take a decision on his next job in the near future. He added: “There are associations, national teams, it could also be in Japan. From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels. There are enquiries from all over the world.”

When asked about his views on the current managerial turmoil Bayern Munich is going through, the former Gunners boss came out in support of the current manager, Niko Kovac and said that Bayern should not sack him.

Wenger is reportedly one of the contenders of replacing Kovac along with Laurent Blanc and Zinedine Zidane. Wenger has been linked to the Japan head coach job besides PSG.

Wenger also spoke out on Arsenal star Mesut Ozil's decision to stand down from international duty after claiming to have been the victim of racism.

"I did not love it that he withdrew from the Germany team [because] the Germans respect what he achieved," he said.

"A small bit of motivation disappears when you know that you don't have to be ready for a World Cup, a European Championship.

"I love it when the players are as good as possible. He loses a bit if he does not play at an international level."
