Sakshi Malik gets a warm welcome in Delhi

Sakshi touched down at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at around 4 am in the morning today and was received by five ministers of the BJP Government in Haryana.

Wrestler Sakshi Malik, who secured India's first medal at the recently concluded Rio Olympics, arrived in Delhi from Rio de Janeiro to a warm welcome early on Wednesday morning.

Sakshi touched down at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at around 4 am in the morning today and was received by five ministers of the BJP Government in Haryana.

Among the ministers were Kavita Jain, Rao Narbir Singh, Manish Grover and Vipul Goel, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Haryana.

A bigger welcome awaits Sakshi at her home district Rohtak, with preparations underway to give her a rousing reception at Bahadurgarh and at her village Mokhra Khas.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who was earlier scheduled to honour her at her village, will felicitate her at Bahadurgarh at Jhajjar district, a senior officer of the State’s Sports and Youth Affairs Department said.
