Lynn, who has been a key player for the KKR, was signed for a whopping Rs 9.6 crore—the most expensive Australian cricketer this year—at the IPL auction in Bengaluru.

A fit-again Chris Lynn was in full flow as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) geared up for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League with a practice match at the Eden Gardens on Monday.

Lynn, who missed the Pakistan Super League owing to a shoulder injury he suffered during Australia's T20 Tri-Series final victory over New Zealand,  attented training less than 24 hours after joining the squad with veteran speedster Mitchell Johnson.

Back in Australia, the Queenslander, who has been plagued by shoulder injuries before, practised with a specially-designed shoulder stabiliser that rugby league star Johnathan Thurston had given him.

"The docs and the physios are happy so that’s all I can do. Fingers crossed I can keep going in the right direction. I’m doing everything I can to get back out there," Lynn had told Cricket Australia.

The team-think tank also paid special attention to the pitch as new skipper Dinesh Karthik along with chief coach Jacques Kallis and bowling coach Heath Streak spoke to former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly and pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee.

Renowned adventurer and explorer, Mike Horn, who’s back with KKR, was also seen on the sidelines of the training session.
