South Africa names squad for first India Test

Cricket South Africa named all-rounder Chris Morris in the side after he was declared fit.

A fit-again Faf du Plessis will return to lead a full-strength South Africa squad, also comprising lead pacer Dale Steyn, for the first Test against India beginning in Cape Town on January 5.

Cricket South Africa has also named all-rounder Chris Morris in the side after he was declared fit. Morris had missed the one-off four-day Test against Zimbabwe with a strain which he picked up in the Ram Slam final two weeks ago.

The team will assemble at Newlands on January 2 to start preparing for the crunch encounter.
