India finished among the leaders of the World Youth Chess Olympiad at the end of the second day in Ahmedabad.

India Green, the main team of the host, Armenia, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan and Mongolia shared the lead at the end of the second round of the World Youth Chess Olympiad at Ahmedabad on Tuesday. With six rounds remaining, they have four points apiece, one ahead of Malaysia and India Blue.

Important results (third round): India Green beat Turkey 3-1 (Aryan Chopra beat Denis Ozen; R. Praggnanandhaa beat Ekin Ozenir; Nihal Sarin drew with Emre Dedebas; R. Vaishali drew with Alparslan Isik). 

Kazakhstan lost to Iran 1-3 (Kazybek Nogerbek lost to Amin Tabatabaei; Ramazan Zhalmakhanov lost to Alireza Firouzja; Timur Nurzhanov lost to Ayan Gholami; Tamerlan Bekturov beat Anousha Mahdian).

Russia beat Belarus 2.5-1.5 (Semen Lomasov drew with Viachaslu Zarubitski; Sergei Lobanov drew with Olga Badelka; Artur Gaiffulin drew with Maksim Ivannikau; Aleksandra Obolentsava beat Arseni Kotau).

Israel lost to Armenia 1-3 (Or Bronstein lost to Aram Hakobyan; Nisim Iliaguev drew with Shant Sargsyan; Dan Poleg drew wtih David Mirzoyan; Alexander Zlatin lost to Anna Sargsyan).

Uzbekistan beat Argentina 2.5-1.5 (Nodirbek Yakubboev beat Francisco Varacalli; Shasiddin Vokhidov drew with Julian Villca; Saidakbar Saydaliev beat Tomas Kapitanchuk; Daler Vakhidov lost to Matias Aguero).

Mongolia beat India Red (Dambasuren Batsuren lost to Rajdeep Sarkar; Sugar Ganerdene beat Arjun Erigaisi; Ganzorig Amartuvshin drew with Mitrabha Guha; Sumiya Chinguun beat Harshita Guddanti).

India Blue drew with Malaysia 2-2 (Rahul Srivatshav lost to Yinn Long Wong; Rakesh Kumar Jena beat Lik Zang Lye; Aronyak Ghosh beat Jun Ying Tan; Vantika Agrawal lost to Jen Sheng Ng).
