Dubai Superseries Finals: Favourable draw for Sindhu

World No. 3 P. V. Sindhu has been drawn in the Group A of the women’s category for the Dubai World Superseries Finals.

With a favourable draw, Sindhu is expected to cruise through to the semifinals. And with rivals Carolina Marin and Nozomi Okuhara have withdrawn from the Superseries Finals, Sindhu is being considered the tournament favourite.

In the men’s singles category, Kidambi Srikanth, was seeded second. With form by his side, he would be raring to go after recovering from injury. Srikanth has been drawn alongside Viktor Axelson, the current World No.1. The other group has former World No.1 players Chen Long and Lee-Chong Wei and the men’s semis will be an exciting contest if the favourites qualify.
