Andy Murray set up a clash with Kei Nishikori in the US Open quarterfinals after cruising past Grigor Dimitrov on Monday. World No. 2 Murray was in scintillating form, knocking off an error-prone Dimitrov in straight sets at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Nishikori will be the Briton's opponent in the search for a semifinal berth, with the former defeating Ivo Karlovic earlier in the day. Also through are Stan Wawrinka and Juan Martin del Potro, who will face each other in the other quarterfinal, after seeing off Illya Marchenko and Dominic Thiem respectively.
MURRAY CRUISES
The second-seeded Murray was nothing short of dominant against Dimitrov, knocking off the Bulgarian with ease.
Dimitrov hardly put up a fight as Murray cruised to a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 victory in New York.
Murray now faces Nishikori, who was impressive against Karlovic in their fourth-round bout, coming out on top 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
STAN THROUGH
Wawrinka was the only winner to drop a set on Monday, but still won through in relatively comfortable fashion against Marchenko.
The third seed needed just under three hours to see off his Ukrainian opponent 6-4, 6-1, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3.
The win sets up a clash with Del Potro in the quarters, a rematch of their final-64 battle at Wimbledon in June, in which the Argentinian came out on top.
THIEM RETIRES
Del Potro made it to the last eight after Thiem was forced to retire due to injury.
Austrian Thiem, ranked 10th in the world, was a set and a break down when he pulled out with a knee injury.
It was a strange match all round, with Del Potro 3-0 down in the first set before receiving treatment on his shoulder.
The Rio 2016 silver medallist then went on to win the next five games to take the set 6-3, before Thiem retired midway through the second.
KISHIKORI'S DELIGHT, MURRAY HAPPY
"It's never easy, [facing] someone serving like Ivo. [He has] a great first serve, and second serve too. It's never easy to return those kind of serves. Today I returned really well. That for sure helped my game today,” - Nishikori was content with his return game against ace king Karlovic.
"I played extremely well. I played very well today with few unforced errors and made it tough for Grigor," - Murray on his dominant win against Dimitrov.
"I didn't expect to be in the quarters in my second grand slam after my comeback. I'm doing in a good way because I'm playing good tennis. My level is growing up every day," - wildcard Del Potro continues his dream run after coming back from injury.
QUARTERS COMMENCE
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is in action as the quarterfinals begin on Tuesday, with the defending champion up against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The other quarter is an all-French affair, with Lucas Pouille facing Gael Monfils.
